1. General web portals for historians interested in Germany

H-Soz-u-Kult is a generalist information site for historians. In particular, it includes a large number of summaries and reviews of publications and conferences.

The site Sehepunkte is also a precious source of reviews.

Much useful bibliographical information together with conference announcements can be found on the site Arbeitsgemeinschaft außeruniversitärer historischer Forschungseinrichtungen in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland (Work group for historical research organisations in the German Federal Republic).

2. Portails généraux pour les médiévistes

Worth noting is this web portal Mediaevum, devoted to medieval history and literature (with links to many sites and data bases devoted to manuscripts).

The Web portal of the Centrum medievistických studii provides a significant number of edited medieval sources. The list also contains handbooks such as catalogs with description of manuscripts: e. g. Truhlá (Department of Manuscripts of the National Library in Prague) or Bartoš (Library of the National Museum).
