Glossa – Society for Medieval Studies in Finland

Founded in 1996, Glossa is the society of finnish medievalists. It has over one hundred members (professors, researchers, students, etc.) and it organises colloquia, public lectures and other scientific meetings. The web page of Glossa offers a good starting point for research in the domain of Finnish medieval studies (projects, teaching, doctoral theses in progress, etc.). Glossa publishes also an electronic journal on medieval studies (Mirator), of which more information can be found on the page Series and publications.

SKAS – Suomen keskiajan arkeologian seura – Society for Medieval Archaeology in Finland

Founded in 1990, SKAS is the society for medieval archaeology in Finland. The aim of SKAS is to encourage research and academic studies in the domain of medieval archaeology. SKAS organises seminars, conferences and excursions abroad and in Finland. SKAS publishes a scholarly series, the Archaeologia Medii Aevi Finlandiae and a journal, SKAS (voir Revues et publications).
