Institute for History, Sarajevo
The Institute for History is a member of the Sarajevo University. It is one of the oldest and most important institutions of historical research in Bosnia and Herzegovina (established in 1959). The institute has never had a reputation for any particular care for medieval history since it was founded as the Institute for the history of the labour movement. Over the last years only two researchers in the field of medieval history were employed here. Its main periodical publications are the yearly journal Prilozi (Contributions) and the journal Historijska traganja (Historical Searches) which is published twice a year.
