History of law

It is rare for find websites dedicated to medieval sources which make law their main theme. Legal themes are nevertheless at the centre of many medieval sources, and the web regularly offers new editions which concern the history of law directly or indirectly. This section aims to list such juridical sources as are available online and to inform the internet user of the latest publications, conferences, colloquia and research seminars with a bearing on the history of law. The search is based primarily in medieval Europe, but does not exclude the possibility of investigating non-European influences. Priority is given to original versions of texts where these are available, in such a fashion as to provide an effective work tool for the medieval historian. Above all, the compilers of this section would welcome remarks from readers. Please do not hesitate to share your suggestions.
