The Oriental Manuscripts collection is rich of more than 5000 volumes, but only 5 Ethiopian mss are part of it.
Two Ethiopian mss are described by August Dillmann in this volume, pages 78 et 79. They had at this period the serial numbers Codices Aethiopici 1 and 2. They are hagiographies of the Ethiopian saints Zä-Mikaél Arägawi and Gäbrä Krestos and a compendium of poetry. Both were acquired by J.-M. Wansleben and Hiob Ludolf during the 17th c.
