The library possesses four manuscripts. These consist of three Psalters (MS NH87; MS NH88; MS NH112) and a Gospel of John (MS 10017a).

According to what is diplayed on line, the museum possesses:
First, four illustrated folios of a Gospel dating from the 14th and 15th century (the arrest of Christ, ascension, the apostle Mathew, the ordeal of bitter water).The codex is shelf marked 1998.66.
The MET also has an illustrated folio (fountain of life, cross), originally shelf marked 2006.100 but now joined to the Tigrean Gospel.
Then, one Arganona Wedassé from Lasta, which could be from the 17th c. according to the typical miniatures. It was acquired in 2006 by the MET. It is entirely digitised and accessible on-line.
One psalter from the 19th c. with a leather case.
Then, 3 magical scrolls are presented online: 95.96, 2011.377, 2012.5.

La collection comprendrait aujourd’hui 8 manuscrits et 2 rouleaux (répondant à la même cote, box 1)
Un me’raf (antiphonaire), daté du XIXe siècle, a été microfilmé et est disponible à l’HMML (Collegeville 95).
Le centre de recherche Schomburg possède aussi des lettres de Sylvia Pankhurst (côtées Sc MG 159) attestant de donations financières à la défense éthiopienne pendant l’occupation italienne (1936-41).

La collection Spencer possède un manuscrit en provenance du monastère de Gunda Gunde, l’hagiographie de Ǝsṭifanos et d’Abäkäräzun. Ce codex fut acquis par Antonio Mordini qui l’aurait acheté au monastère.

La collection comprend 9 manuscrits et 4 rouleaux. Tous sont décrits dans le catalogue en ligne CORSAIR.
Parmi les manuscrits, il faut noter le très célèbre Ms. M. 828 ou évangile enluminé de la princesse Zer Ganéla, petite fille du roi Amdä Seyon, daté de 1400-01 et provenant du monastère de Däbrä Daret. Une copie complète de la notice du catalogue dactylographié décrivant ce manuscrit est disponible sur le catalogue informatique. Cette notice de 15 pages a d’abord été rédigée par le Dr. Shekan, puis complétée, à la main, par d’autres chercheurs de passage.
